South Karelia Chamber of Commerce promotes competitiveness of companies

As a regional Chamber of Commerce our organisation consists of business experts of various origin, which act as the voice of the whole business sector; both nationally and internationally. The organisation represents the entire business sector, regardless of the company´s size or line of business.

The aim of South Karelia Chamber of Commerce is to make the southeastern part of Finland a good location for corporate activity. We monitor all the significant developments that affect or define our region´s relative standing in the surrounding world.

We strongly believe, that achievement of sustainable economic development largely depends on the success of companies. Therefore South Karelia Chamber of Commerce promotes the basic operating conditions of the companies within our designated area. We support corporate growth and the entry of companies into the new market.

We are responsible for carrying out a variety of important public duties related to the business sector. Out of these just to mention approval and supervision of the Authorised Accountants and administration of foreign trade documents (European Community Certificate of Origin and ATA Carnet International Customs Document).

As for our service to member companies our Chamber of Commerce publishes The Magazine and The Bulletin of South Karelia Chamber of Commerce. We also assist our member companies in their judicial or economic affairs using First Stop Shop -principals.
